AJ Forsythe started iCracked in his living room at Cal Poly in January of 2010 after he broke his own iPhone one too many times. As he tossed his phone to a roommate, a ceiling fan got in the way, shattering the phone to pieces. After successfully researching and repairing his phone, word got out. AJ’s friends and acquaintances were rough on their phones as well, and iCracked was born. The new company took off on campus.
AJ began looking for other ways to capitalize on this market. Licensing out the business model seemed like the best way to upscale rapidly. Anthony Martin and AJ joined forces in late 2010 and started expanding their service to other colleges. Since then, iCracked has launched inclusive Do It Yourself Kits, Mail-in repair services, iPhone Buyback, Recycling programs, and their new iPod and iPad repair services.
