Fans of Losing Team are Nearly 200% More Likely to Shatter iPhone After Loss
All eyes will be on the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers in this week’s big game in Santa Clara, California, hoping no fumbles or dropped passes are in sight. However, data suggests that the most (fan) fumbles may actually happen after the 4th quarter.
iCracked, the world’s largest and most trusted smartphone repair service, has revealed historical data from past games, suggesting that the losing team’s fans have trouble hanging onto their delicate iPhones following a crushing loss. Looking at the last two years of data in the losing team’s states, the company noted that repair requests soared by nearly 200% in the days following the game:
- In 2014, Colorado, home state of losing team Denver Broncos, experienced a 184% surge in iPhone repair requests above average.
- Again in 2015, Washington, home state of losing team Seattle Seahawks, saw a 176% surge in repair requests above average.
iCracked, which powers a network of 5,000 on-demand repair professionals in 500+ cities across the U.S., called iTechs, will dispatch one of these iTechs to the time and place of the customer’s choosing to repair the device on the spot in 40 minutes or less. Home, office, coffee shop, morning, noon, or midnight, the company understands the need for immediacy, and is happy to service customers wherever and whenever they are comfortable. All iTechs are extensively background checked and rigorously trained, ensuring the highest quality of service and professionalism.
“We first looked at the data out of curiosity, not expecting it to reveal any hugely different patterns. When we discovered the pretty hilarious trend, we knew sports fans across the U.S. would relate to the frustration of such a crushing loss. I’m just happy we can service all these requests and hopefully improve our customer’s’ days,” said AJ Forsythe, iCracked co-founder and CEO.
